Application Process

IBD Business School invites applications from all qualified Polish and international candidates. We strive to make our application process as straightforward as possible; however, the rigorous Admissions Criteria we apply to ensure that each candidate will be studying alongside a diverse group of capable and highly motivated classmates, require the application process to be well-planned and carefully conducted. At the same time, our EMBA Team is ready to help the applicant throughout the application process:  from his/her first enquiry until the application is complete.

Admission requirements:

The admissions process is composed of the following steps:

Application form

Candidates must submit a complete application form to be considered for the Executive MBA programme. The form can be submitted in hard copy (mailed to us or dropped off at our office) or on-line, by mailing it to
Spring 2017 Executive MBA Application Form

Transcripts and certificates

Applicants are required to enclose any educational transcripts and degree certificates. Scanned copies are acceptable temporarily, especially when applying electronically; however, submitting the originals will still be required before accepting applicants onto the programme. Transcripts and certificates issued in other languages than English and Polish must be translated by sworn (certified) translators.

English language ability

If English is not your first language, you must provide evidence of strong English language skills via either the TOEFL IBT (score of 100+), IELTS (minimum score of seven), Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic test (minimum score of 60) or Cambridge English: Advanced – CAE (level C1) test.

Your spoken language skills will be assessed during your admissions interview and in some cases, (e.g. evidence of working in English on a daily basis) you will not be required to take one of the language tests cited above. If you have not already taken the tests, please check with us before booking them.

Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT)

If you have less than five years of relevant professional experience, you’ll be required to take the GMAT test. However, even if you meet the five-year work experience, the Programme Director may ask for GMAT in certain circumstances.

Please check with us before booking your GMAT test.

We ask that you provide two references, using the IBD reference form available below. They are an important part of the admission process and help us to understand how other people view you and the contribution you have made in an organisational, professional or personal context. We require at least one professional reference.

The second can also be a professional reference, but this is not mandatory. You may choose to use a mentor, coach, peer or someone with whom you work closely. Your references may be supplied after you have submitted your application.

  Executive MBA Reference Form

Once IBD Business School has reviewed your completed application, and if the Admissions Committee decides to take your application further, you will be invited for an interview either in person or by video call (Skype). The interview will be conducted either by the EMBA Programme Director or the Admissions and Recruitment Manager or by both of them.

Application deadlines

Applications must be submitted no later than one month prior to the start of the programme. Please see the schedule of intakes under “Programme Dates.”
